Exceptional people create an exceptional work environment.
Curtis started his professional journey in 1998, although he wouldn’t enter the salon world until 2005. During those formative years, he worked backstage and onset for theatre and film under the tutelage of some of Saskatchewan's finest artists. He was then able to give back to other new stylists, mentoring them as an instructor for a hair college for 7+ years. For 15 years, Curtis put down roots and grew alongside the team at Rumors Hair Studio until his employer, mentor, and friend, Jacqui handed him her legacy and he stepped into the role of salon owner.
Curtis’ favourite services are hair cutting and permanent straightening services, but he certainly will never shy away from a challenging colour project! His vision is to create a space for people of all backgrounds are able to blossom and thrive; bringing their own inner beauty to the surface.

Carmen specializes in fashion-forward and classic cuts for both men and women, blonding services, and colour transformations. Even with 22 years in the industry, Carmen still loves learning and continuing to build her education. Carmen strongly believes that hair is your best accessory and is looking forward to having you settle into her chair.

"It doesn't matter if your life is perfect as long as your hair is." (Stacy Shapp Killian). At one time, that was a quote that Mel might have taken too literally, but now she considers them words to live by. Although relatively new to the industry, Mel has always had a passion for hair ever since she was a child, with a particular passion for fun colour. When she's not at the salon, she is curled up at home with her orange cat, listening to music.
